HEAVY LIFTING REQUIRED
We need about five volunteers for efficient setup and tear down. However, we’re not going to turn anyone away if there are more helping hands. We’ll find ways to put you to use.
To help set up, you must be able to:
- Carry equipment from the transport vehicle and up twelve well-maintained stairs into the event space;
- Help arrange and put together the equipment on the play floor.
All of this is supervised by experienced volunteers, so if it’s your first time, or you have no idea how the equipment gets set up, no problem! They will be happy to explain the process and ensure you have the tools and knowledge needed to work safely.
Set-up for the parties happens on the day of the event. Depending on the type of event the time may vary, so please check with our Volunteer Co-Ordinator. The duration of the set-up is usually about one hour.
Teardown starts at the end of the party around 1:00 AM. This includes dismantling the equipment and taking it down the stairs and into the transport vehicle.
